sick :(
We are all getting a cold/sore throat here. Claire and I are leaving for AR on Saturday so please pray that we will feel good for the flight! I'm nervous enough as it is so I really don't want a sick infant while I'm feeling bad too. Thanks!

Oh well
I've slacked on my blogging skills lately. With Brian teaching seminary we go to bed as soon as Claire goes to bed and during the day she has been so mom needy that I can't do it. That and the fact that she only naps about 20 minutes at a time. I feel kinda bad for Brian because she will scream when he is holding her and then stop instantly when I pick her up. I told him not to feel too bad because she will probably end up being a daddy girl when shes a little older. I can tell you I wont feel bad when that happens!!
We bought Claire a little "walker" thing although it doesn't really go anywhere. She really likes it. She tries to grab all of the toys at once.

This is the outfit we bought the day that we found out we were having a girl. I think its adorable and its nice to put her in something that is not pink. However, people think she is a boy because it is blue. Come on...does that REALLY look like a boys outfit?? I don't think so. I just bought her a hairband and have a blue boy to put in it so that should clear up any confusion. Hopefully.

We went on a shopping trip to Silverdale on Saturday. It was a highly successful trip. I needed to buy a white blouse and Claire a white dress. We found one at Macy along with a few other very cute dresses. We also bought another dress at Gap and a swim suit for her for Hawaii.
Thats the headband I bought at Dungeness Kids Co here in sequim and I bought a couple of flowers and then the bows at target. She was SO cute on Sunday.

We are very excited to be going to Arkansas on Saturday. Well, Claire and I are. I am SUPER excited because my friends Rachel and Jenna are driving up from Louisiana to stay a few days! I haven't seen Jenna for 3 years and I haven't seen Rachel for 2 years! Way overdue. I seriously cant wait!
Brian will be having a relaxed 3 weeks, going to bed whenever he wants and doing whatever. I'm sure he may miss us though!

1- where did you meet your husband?
He lived in my apartment complex and ward. We met at the opening activity. It was nerd night at the park.

I actually dont remember meeting him that night but I was kinda hung up on another guy. He always casts it up to me.
2- what was the first thing you said to your husband?
Probably hello my name is Megan or something like that.

3- where was your first date?
We kinda had two first dates. The first first date was to Trafalga, mini golfing. We went on a couple of more dates and then we didn't really date for about 8 months. Our next real first date was to Ice Age 2. We were going to go rock climbing but I was really sore from something. He held my hand,
4- where was your first kiss?
Up in Provo Canyon at Kelson's cabin. My roommate was dating Kelson at the time. (wow, crazy how things worked out...For the BEST) Brian hadn't kissed me yet and Kelson hadn't kissed Christy yet so we decided that if they didn't kiss us that night we would do it. We watched a movie called The Cave or something like that. Brian and I left and he kissed me at the car. (Kelson kissed Christy that night too...mission accomplished) It was kinda awkward but I was the first (and the last) girl he kissed after his mission so that was a long time without kissing.

5- How long did you date for?
We dated from about the end of March to September.

6- where did you get engaged?
Up at a really pretty park in Provo Canyon. It was perfect.

7- when and where were you married?
We were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple on December 30, 2006.

8- how did the reception go?
Amazing. It was perfect. The house we had it at was beautiful, the food was GREAT (I wish I ate more), the decorations were great. The company was great too. :)

9- how was the honeymoon?
Great. I loved the bed and breakfast we stayed at in Flagstaff. We went to the grand canyon and it was beautiful. Then we went to Las Vegas and stayed at the Palms. I didn't like Vegas so much but I'm not a crowd person. We had a lot of fun at the shows we went to. It irked me when we were walking around holding hands and guys on the street tried to give Brian cards with pictures of scantily clad or nude girls. What the heck!? It was a fun honeymoon though.
10. I tag Christy!

Finally...

This weekend we went and looked at couches. I have wanted a couch for a LONG time. I am so tired of our raggedy futon. It has served us well these past (almost) 2 years. We found one that I think we will be purchasing tomorrow. YAY! It is super comfy and the ends fully recline. Brian really likes this feature. My husbands poor feet are tired at the end of the day. (I wont mind using it either) I am super excited!
We had Stake Conference this weekend. Our stake center is in Port Angeles. What I saw of it was pretty good. Its going to be a while before either of us can fully enjoy church. Claire does pretty good if we walk around. It was at 10 so we actually had a Sunday! I'm going to like going to church at 9 next year. Church at 1:00 is kind of annoying. It seems like we just laze around all morning, get dressed about 30 minutes before church, and then the day is pretty much over!

Like it?
Do you like my new background? I wont spend money for it but I thought it was really cute for free. :)
Claire and I went walking at the park today with my friend Joslyn. We are going walking Mon-Fri at 9:00. It feels good to get out of the house and into fresh air. Claire usually falls asleep so that is nice. Hopefully the rest of this baby weight will come off quick!

Ramblings
Today was Claire's 4 month appointment. She was 4 months on Saturday. It was about a hour drive altogether but was about a 5 minute appointment. I guess short visits are good though, it means everything is great! She weighs 13 lbs 7 ounces. She is a petite little thing. And way too cute. I can't believe how big she is getting. She interacts so well with us, reaching for things, trying to turn over. She babbles all the time. Goodness, it's amazing how much we love her.

We went to the BYU vs. U of W game on Saturday. We drove to Bainbridge and took a ferry over to Seattle. They had free busing to the stadium for ticket holders which was an amazing idea. Claire did pretty good until the first touchdown. She started screaming when everyone started cheering. I spent the rest of the day outside the stadium with her. BYU didn't do so hot considering they are ranked 16th and the Huskies aren't ranked at all. The end was pretty intense though. The Huskies were down a touchdown and made some really good plays. They scored with two seconds left. The officials called "excessive celebration" on them for throwing the ball in the end zone. (I mean, who could really blame them) So the extra point got moved back 15 yards. We blocked it to win 28-27. There were some very unhappy Husky fans leaving the stadium. The student center next to us started chanting "Bulls..." We aren't at BYU anymore. It was a good day though.
Brian started seminary this week. He teaches the zero hour seminary which starts at 6:00. Today he had 16 kids. Pretty big class. He says that it is going well. There are a couple of kids who try to get laughs out of the rest of the class but usually just end up annoying the teacher. I know one of them from things he has said in church. Brian says if I don't have anything nice to say I shouldn't say it at all. Hence, that is all I will say on the subject.

This is my new favorite TV show. I LOVE it. It is about a team of scientists at the Jeffersonian Institute that solve murder. Hodgins, Angela, Booth, Temperence Brennen (aka "Bones"), Zach Addy, and Cam. Hodgin is the bug and dirt guy, Angela does facial reconstruction, Booth is an FBI agent, Brennen is the best forensic anthropologist ever, Zach is her grad student, and Cam is the coroner. Together, they are the best crime fighting crew out there. The beginning of each episode is a little grisly. Finding the body and stuff but usually by the end each victim is just bones. Brian is sometimes annoyed by it because they do stuff that can't be done. I sometimes get grossed out by the beginning but I love love love the characters. It is so funny! But yes, I am obsessed and will be watching the 4th season on Fox.com. I'm almost caught up on all the other seasons too. Good show!
Last thing is congrats to my cousin Brandon and his wife Maren! They had a little baby girl last week. Lydia Maren Hatch. 6 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches. Way close to how big Claire was. Congrats!!

Home again
We are home from our trip! It wasn't much...but we have seen parts of Washington we may not see again and we got to relax in a hotel and not worry about cleaning or anything. We honestly live in a BEAUTIFUL part of the country. Heres some pictures
Claire in the car Going to Forks, home of Bella and Edward :)

Bella's Truck

Timber Museum

The whole town revolves around the Twilight books now.

Pretty views. Ruby Beach. I want to go there again and hike around.

The Big Cedar. Brian took pictures. I stayed in the car with Claire because she was asleep. She did pretty good. She slept a lot which was great, otherwise she was like this.

When we got to Vancouver we checked into an Econo Lodge. It had a jacuzzi tub. Claire had been screaming her head off and was hungry to the absolute first thing I did was nurse her. After she finished we looked around and the room was NASTY. Brian went to get our money back and go somewhere else. The guy said that he could only refund one night since it had been 30 minutes since we checked in. Brian asked to see that policy but he said it wasn't written down. Whatever. Brian told him we weren't staying there so he called the credit card company to dispute the charge. Then we left and went to a Best Western. A LOT nicer. I did forget Claire's bed though. It was a bad two nights for me. The only good thing about sleeping next to her was that nursing was a lot easier. We went to church on Sunday and we also had Buck's Pizza twice. :) I think that should last me for a long time.
