Hawaii 2014

Here is something I don't want to forget!  In February Brian's company took all the employees and their spouses to Hawaii for a week!  My mom was nice enough to come and watch the kids while we were gone.  Oh man, I went back and forth forever about whether or not I wanted to leave my kids.  That was so hard.  We left on a Saturday and I cried.  Luckily we car pooled to the airport with some friends so my friend reassured me that I would be okay :)  I was sad until we got to the airport and realized how much easier everything is without kids.  Then I figured I could do this sort of thing every year!

It was sad leaving my sweet babies though.  But not having to deal with them on an airplane or dealing with meltdowns, getting them in sun screen, packing diapers and snacks and things to do, or having to worry about their schedule was SO RELAXING!!

This is a picture of where we were at.  We were at the Aulani Disney resort and it was NICE.

At the resorts cove.

This was a little wedding chapel.  There were weddings going on all the time.  Almost all Japanese.

Sunday we went to church.

We went on a whale watching tour with everyone from the company.  We saw about 5 whales and were able to go snorkeling.  I'm not a huge fan of water but I didn't get seasick!  (Brian did though)

Left early in the morning.

Some really famous guy's really expensive boat.  Can't remember who it was now.

We saw lots of pretty sunsets

The pools at the resort were fabulous.

Headed to the North Shore.  We hit a famous shrimp truck and the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Wedding at the resort.  Can't imagine how expensive it must have been.  And it got rained on

Sharks at a hotel near ours.

Had to stop and get some pineapple icecream and Joseph's name done in pictures like the other kids have.

Stopped off at a park on the way to the North Shore

We went to the dinner before the big show.

One day we took paddle boarding lessons.  Brian was much better at it than me.

Went with friends on a very pretty hike on a mountain

And last (no picture) but we went to the east side of the island and went to the best crepe place I have ever been to.  It was AMAZING.

Hawaii was so much fun.  We are so lucky that Brian works for such a fabulous place.  It was great to have a week just to ourselves.  The kids did great with Grandma.  Poor Joseph was sick though.  He got a cyst and my mom had to take him to the pediatrician and then to a surgeon to get it lanced.  Luckily that happened on Friday and we had a red eye Friday night.  So by the time I really knew what was happening we were basically on the way home.  But my mom rocks and everything turned out.  LOVE YOU MOM!
