Counting Blessings

So I love Saturdays! Brian is home to help with Claire and it is just so relaxed. We went to Costco and got our memberships (Sawtooth has a corporate account so we don't have to pay the membership fee). Cheese is a lot cheaper there! We got a few things like string cheese, yoshida sause, and bottled water. Water is pretty good up here but we like to buy bottled for storage. We went on a walk when we got home. Claire fell asleep so it was peaceful.

Yesterday I was on my hypnobaby yahoo group and there was a post by a lady who lost her baby at 34 weeks. They had no idea why the baby died. The moderator replied with a blog that she reads about a woman who also lost a baby. They knew that she wouldn't survive but instead of terminating the pregnancy she waited until the baby came. The little girl lived a couple of hours and then passed away. This woman is a born again Christian and is very passionate about her belief in Jesus. Her brother and sister-in-law's son just died from SIDS too. Almost 2 months old. (and I was already paranoid) She had a video of her sister-in-law singing at her daughters funeral holding the little boy. It was so sad because they had no way of knowing their son would live just a few weeks more. From her blog I read another about a woman who had a daughter die almost full term and also a few about women who are adopting because they have tried and tried to get pregnant. All of these women are Christians who are truly inspiring with their faith.

I cried through many of their stories and I am counting every blessing I have. I remember how sad I was when my mom lost two babies. I remember crying so much that night when my dad told me that one was a girl. I named them David and Julie, which over the years never changed. I remember being so sad when my beautiful little cousin, who I have never met, Kate Eliza, died just a few days after being born. Everytime I hear that someone has a miscarriage I hurt for them, even though I haven't experienced it. What a blessing it is to know that families are eternal. I have no idea what will happen in my life. I do know, that no matter what, Heavenly Father loves me, loves my family, and cares for me and knows what He is doing. I may not but He does. I WILL be with my family FOREVER and I am so thankful for that. I will see my little brother and sister again and I am excited :) There are so many things I want to say but I am so bad getting them to come out.

Another thing from reading those blogs is that I feel a little ashamed by the passion that these women have for Heavenly Father and Jesus. It is completely apparent that they trust him totally. I know I need to be better and I am trying. Even though they are not of my faith they are uplifting. There are so many good people out there in the world who are trying to live they way they should and do the things they should.

Anyway, those are just some of my thoughts. Claire is in bed although I think I hear her so hopefully she will fall asleep. Last night was a great night. She was in bed by 10 up at 4 and then at 7. She is getting better. She does this thing though when she is nursing that she will nurse a second and then SCREAM. I will get her calmed down and she will do the same thing again. It mostly happens eveningish. Anyone know why?? I'm going to get a doctors appointment for her and see if they know. I posted a video. I hope it works. Claire is so cute when I change her diaper. She starts trying to talk :) It's kinda long so you don't have to watch it all. I love her though. She is a awesome blessing for us...even when she is fussy....

Love you all!!

Sunny Sequim

Almost one week has gone by since Brian has started work. **I am so glad its almost the weekend** and he is doing so good! I really have no idea what he is doing...its way over my head, but he reports all is well. He doesn't know everything of course, he actually only had one statistics class at BYU and the other guys there have master degrees. Brian was talking to one of them (Aaron) and Aaron said it took him 3 months to get started. Aaron said that they knew that Brian did not know all the statistics but they liked him so much they decided they would just teach him! I think that's a pretty good compliment. As for me I count down the hours till he comes home. I love staying home with Claire but she is in a stage where she just wants to be held. That gets hard after a while. I love her to pieces though. She is so cute!

Tummy time!!

Getting fed up with tummy time :(wondering why I keep shoving a camera in her face :)

I love it when she starts smiling

We are alive

Yes, we made it to Sequim. It was a long journey...but we survived. We left Aspen Grove on Friday. We made pretty good time at first because Claire was asleep. :) Then we had a few set backs. First, we accidentally got in a place where we couldn't just drive out of. We had to back the trailer up and the tow dolly doesn't back up. At all. So Brian had to unhook the car and then the dolly, get everything straight and then hook everything up. Not fun. Claire had a few screaming episodes that stressed us both out because we couldn't do anything about it. :( By 10:00 pm we were in Baker City, Oregon. We were both exhausted and starving. The exit for the town was kinda strange and we had to drive through residential areas before we got to the part with hotels. As we drove in the first two hotels had NO VACANCY lights flashing. Everywhere we looked were motorcycles. Unbeknown to us we picked the day of the Hells Canyon Motorcycle Rally. Grreat. Every hotel was booked full. I had a mini breakdown in the McDonald's parking lot. The next town was 45 minutes up the road, Claire was screaming, and I was just so tired. Luckily, my amazing husband found a hotel that had a cancellation and so we got the very last room in town. While we were checking in a man told us the next town up was totally booked too, Graduation. I was so thankful we got that room.

We decided that we weren't going to make it by 4:00 on Saturday which is what time we had to be here by to check in the apartment. So we took the next day slow, got up late and quit driving early. We made it to Tacoma though, around 4:00. I was so glad we did it that way. We only had to drive two hours on Sunday and we were much more relaxed.

Sunday we got in and checked into our apartment. I was in love!! It is SO much nicer than our apartment in Provo and it has a dishwasher! We have pretty much got everything unpacked but we still have little stuff to do. We don't have an entertainment set so I don't know where we are putting pictures and things. But here are some pictures I took.

Our outside storage space.
We are on the first floor (yay) but because its on a hill we get a balcony that is about 4 feet off the ground. (Brian was very excited)

Yay for washer and dryer!

Our closets and bathroom.

I love that it is brand new and no one has ever lived here before us. It is so nice. We will probably be here for a few years while we save for a house. Gas is $4.49 and food is much more expensive too. As a guy from the grocery store said "We pay for the privilege of living on the peninsula" Blah on that. It is pretty nice though. Lots of missionary work opportunity here. The missionaries actually tracked into us the other day. I answered the door with Claire and they must have known we were members because I said "Look Claire..the missionaries!" For some reason I didn't even think that they were tracting. I think this post is pretty long so I will leave Apsen Grove and such for another time...I just have to post some pictures of Claire though!

Sweet little girl...

Shes starting to giggle at us
So stinkin cute!
